I think it's worth pointing out a ulcpoe of things here..Struggling artists don't tend to get pirated if you check what's been downloaded it's 99% exactly the same as is played on the radio. That doesn't justify it but both sides claiming to stand up for artists aren't really.The other thing is that recorded media is a relatively recent thing we've had great artists and musicians for centuries and we will continue to do so.The last thing is that, I spent most of a decade working in a live music venue and still have ties to live music and touring bands none of them are noticably affected by people downloading tracks without permission, and many of them have families, many more have proper jobs because..you know what only the lucky lucky few who make it to the big time will ever have enough people have heard of them to download their tracks and it make an iota of difference to their income.
